My background is in using mathematical tools to understand the brain activity that goes along with speech, movement, and thought.
I’m interested in the ways in which subjective experience is generated, and the aspects of mind which are hidden from conscious introspection.
My thesis work investigates the way astrocytes—part of the “glue” that holds the brain together—communicate with each other and shape the activity of the nerve cells around them.
